There is so much to see and do in this wonderful city that it can be a bit difficult to know where to start. The great news is that there is something for everyone, from toddlers to teenagers.
As a mother of three who lives here and travels around the capital with the children, I know all about the requirements of a family on the go. If the kids are happy, then everyone else will be too!
Whatever you decide to do, bear in mind that London is a huge place. It is a good idea to choose a few places to go and make the most of them, rather than try to cram everything in.

You will find this wonderful and refreshing interactive display at Southbank Centre. So what exactly is it? Well, this danish artist created a fountain called "Appearing Rooms". It is an intriguing interactive installation where walls of water rise and fall randomly to create a series of constantly changing 'rooms'. Visitors can walk in and out of these rooms but they had better move quickly if they don't want to get wet! No doubt the kids will have the opposite idea and think that getting soaked is what it is all about :) Daily 10am to 10pmSouthbank CentreNear WaterlooFree Roald Dahl Children's GalleryThe Roald Dahl Children's Gallery is a magical place with lots of hands-on exhibits Permalink -- click for full blog post "Roald Dahl Children's Gallery" |
