Roald Dahl Children's Gallery

leeds-castle

The Roald Dahl Children's Gallery is a magical place with lots of hands-on exhibits

This gallery is well worth a trip, especially if you have children aged 4 to 11.

Roald Dahl lived most of his adult life in Buckinghamshire and so the county created this museum in his honour in 1996. The wonderful thing about this gallery is that it is really hands-on. Everything is there to be explored, touched and played with. You can

* Discover inventions with Willy Wonka

* Investigate minibeasts inside the giant peach

* Crawl along Fantastic Mr Fox's tunnel

* See the Twits' upside down room

* Explore sounds with the BFG and much more!

The only disappointing thing is that visits are timed. The gallery operatse a timed ticket system with visits lasting an hour and entry is on the hour. There are a limited number of tickets available so booking is advised.

Have fun!
