Barbican

Barbican

The Barbican has everything from music concerts, film screenings, theatre performances and art exhibitions, so there is plenty to keep the family entertained

You might expect that a cultural centre to be a beautiful building. Well, in this case you would be wrong! It does not look very inviting with its concrete facade and numerous walkways, however, it is worth a visit especially for some of their special exhibitions.

For families, the best activities are the Saturday morning Film Club and the family concerts given by the London Symphony Orchestra. The art gallery has regular family workshops and free activity sheets and there are several big family festivals throughout the year: Do Something Different Weekend (March), Animate the World (May) and London Children's Film Festival (November).
