    <title>Don&#39;t miss this Interactive Fountain!</title>
    <link>http://www.kids-london-guide.com/london-guide-blog.html#Don&#39;t-miss-this-Interactive-Fountain!</link>
<description>This summer, until October 23rd, Jeppe Hein&#39;s fountain is back in London. You will find this wonderful and refreshing interactive display at Southbank Centre.

So what exactly is it? Well, this danish artist created a fountain called &quot;Appearing Rooms&quot;. It is an intriguing interactive installation where walls of water rise and fall randomly to create a series of constantly changing &#39;rooms&#39;. Visitors can walk in and out of these rooms but they had better move quickly if they don&#39;t want to get wet! No doubt the kids will have the opposite idea and think that getting soaked is what it is all about :)

    <title>Harry Potter Tours of London</title>
    <link>http://www.kids-london-guide.com/london-guide-blog.html#Harry-Potter-Tours-of-London</link>
<description>If you have slightly older kids who are fans of the Harry Potter books, then one novel way to explore London is to take the Harry Potter Walk. This walk is guided by a man called Alan who wears a green carnation.

The walk is one of a series given by London Walks. The full title of the walk is the Myths and Legends behind Harry Potter - Wizards, Werewolves &amp; Vampires and is described as follows ...

Lets put the cat amongst the pixies: Harry Potter isnt just kids stuff. There are very real tales - and real locales - behind the stories of Harry and friends. Those tales, those locales inform this walk. Was there really an invisibility cloak? Whats the truth behind the Philosophers Stone? What place inspired Diagon Alley? Theres good gripping London stuff behind a lot of the Harry Potter goings on - everything from characters names to the origin of monsters. Well solve a mystery or two: e.g., where is the entrance to The Ministry of Magic and can we get in? In short, this walk is a serious study of a subject more fantastical than fiction. And, yes, theres even some magic.

Meet at 5pm on Sundays outside Embankment Tube (on Circle, District, Northern and Bakerloo lines). There is no need to book, just turn up.
